Another explanation of WHY this happend could be;
Your bios backup battery has lost its power and therefor your bios might
have lost some data, on booting it would possably auto detect the disk(s)
possably now they have another geometry, (no LBA) causing this problem of
LI.
In my experiance the "LI" is mostly caused by faulty disk geometry.
