Hi all,
I'm trying to install SuSE 5.1 on a friend's PC for the very first time and
have a problem. I've created the boot and root disks but when I boot the
machine using the boot disk it stops after displaying LIL- and freezes.
I've read that hardware incompatibilities can cause this kind of thing.
I've already disabled the Plug 'n Play options in the BIOS. There is a
plug 'n play CD-ROM attached still, however. Would disconnecting it help?
(Of course, then I'd probably have to get another CD-ROM drive for the CD
installation, right?)
