I think you will find that its a geometry mismatch, your bios has possably
autodetected your disk and assigned it incorrect parameters, ie wrong
clys-head-sector count, this is a problem when using the BIOS autodetect,
enter the cyls heads and sectors manualy and assign LBA.

I have encounterd this problem so many times when installing on large disks
for other folks, i would go as far as to say it 99% sure a geo., mismatch..
