Howdy, Y'all: I've been perusing the web/catalogs/flyers and it seems that the modem manufacturers/resellers are obfuscating that their modems are winders-only. I bought a modem at a local computer show because it indicated that it worked with DOS/WIN3/WIN95/WIN98. I figured that if it worked with DOS it would work with linux. Wrong! I sent an email to the manufacturer and they replied that it was, indeed, a win-modem. Is there a resource somewhere that lists modems that do .vs. do not REQUIRE windoze? I would like to upgrade to v.90, but I cannot tell whether the available modems are 'real' and which are 'virtual/windoze' modems. Happy Holidays, Chuck -- Researching GELM
