Subject: Modem support in redhat 5.2

Hi,
I'm running redhat 5.2 in my machine and am trying to use ppp. But
my modem is USR V.90 Win which i guess is not supported by linux. I'm
planning to go in for a new one - i would like to know if USR V.90 56k
faxmodems are supported by redhat 5.2.

Hi,
AFAIK, all non-Winmodems are supported by Linux, as long as they
"understand" AT sequences. The reason Winmodems don't work is that
they
leave a lot of the modulating/demodulating to the system.
