Start netscape, click on "options" select "network Options" on the following
screen select "proxies" then select "view" Then fill in the details, save
the stuff, and you should then be on your way.
Considering i use a somewhat out of date netscape version the above might
have changed a little, but you should now be heading in the correct
direction.
If all that is mind boggeling, you could edit
/home/$user/.netscape/preferances edit the following entrys.
PROXY_MODE: 1
PROXY_URL:
SOCKS_HOST:
FTP_PROXY: foo.bar.org:8080
HTTP_PROXY: foo.bar.org:8080
HTTPS_PROXY:
GOPHER_PROXY: foo.bar.org:8080
WAIS_PROXY:
NO_PROXY: local.domain
foo.bar.org = your proxy server.
local.domain would be no proxy server for local machines, or machines which
you have direct LAN access.
