Hi, help me please since this has getting on my nerves. I am a newbie to linux. I have a linux machine up and running without any glitches. But when i do vi <existing_file>, it opens with file name and bytes info on the :command line, but does not display any contents of the file. Do i need to set any terminal variables for this? Thanx nbee _______________________________________________________ Get your free, private email at http://mail.excite.com/
