No Subject

I have just installed Caldera Open Linux2.2, and I have like zero
experience on a linux box (i know i know) and I have been trying to feel my
way around but thus far I've had no luck installing my printer, nic, etc. i
go through the COAS and enter the pertinent information and for some reason
it doesn't work. i checked the cmos to ensure that my ports were enabled
but am having difficulty deciding where to go from there and the book that
came with the software wasn't much help. Any suggestions would be greatly
