I am struggling with the DNS
follwed the DNS-HOWTO and everything went fine.
I can do all the examples in the HOWTO (very fine Howto)
No email to send even a thanks (I can understand why)
My linux at home is set up with default web pages
Win95 should be able to browse them, but !
I can dialup with Win95 into the linux box (now with RH6 and bind-8-2)
I can ping by IP but not by name
I can surf my linux box by IP but not by name.
I can telnet by IP but not by name.
I get no errors in the log file when trying to ping by name.
where should I look for the error messages of named ?
Below are some of my tests on the linux box at home

but the lookup comes ok
