I have some questions regarding your setup :
1. You did of course, specify your nameserver ip-address in the DNS
setttings on Win95 didnt you? Your hostname for the Win95 box was not
visible in your diagram. I assume from the ip-address in the ppp dialin
log, that it is not on the same domain as metta.lk ? Which machine runs
your nameserver, by the way?
2. Do 'nslookup -'. Now, at the new prompt type 'server <server name>'
where <server name> is the hostname of the DNS name server. Now do 'ls -d
metta.lk > <filename>' where filename is a file you are outputting the
command output to. If the file is not too big, could you post it on the
list please? Otherwise, mail it to me.
