These sound like compilation directions. First off, make sure you have the
binary packages (no xxx.src.rpm). Then, on the KDE ftp sites, under the Redhat
5.x directory, there will be quick and simple installation script made just for
Redhat.

Otherwise, install qt-1.4xxx, kdesupportxxx, kdelibsxxx and kdebasexxx, in that
order, then the rest of the packages (kdegames, kdeutils, etc). Use Glint to do
this. The binary RPM's will handle the paths for you.

After you've done this, set up KDE for initial use by typing "usekde" in your
home directory.

And yes, someone needs to update, clarify the installation instructions. I
doubt that this has been done since KDE 1.0.
