Has Anybody used a Cable Modem with Linux?

     Has anyone used a cable modem with Linux?  I know my pc connects to the
cable modem (external) via an ethernet card.  I know that my ISP uses Netscape
or IE for connecting.  I don't know if I can connect to the web using Linux's
software.

     Any help would be appreciated.
