do you already have cable internet service?
if yes to both, here is one method of getting the info you need:
in Win 9x run the program winipcfg. That should give you all the
info you need on your current configuration.
either write down or print out everything shown. to print out:
<Ctr>C then paste to your favorite text editor and print.
then, the RH 6.0 install program will ask you for the info you've
just printed out and have nicely at hand. I assume mandrake will be
either the same or even easier than RH.
if "no" to either of the above questions, let the list know what
your set up is and will be and better answers will undoubtably be
forthcoming.
