Huh?

I started to list a series of clarifying questions with respect to what you
posted, but I ended up realizing I don't have the slightest idea what you
are trying to describe. I strongly suspect I will not be alone in having
that problem.

I suggest you try again, this time posting a more detailed description of
what your setup was (CPU, RAM, hard disk size, swap partition size), what
Linux distribution/version you were installing (sounds like Red Hat, but
that's just a guess), and what the exact problems were. Quote the actual
wording of any error messages you do not COMPLETELY understand. If disk
capacity is an issue, a copy of the partition table (as sjown by fdisk or
cfdisk) and of the output of "df" might also help.

To answer the one question I did understand: "Not enough space for this
selection" means what it sounds like: the amount of stuff that the
"workstation" option needs to install is more than the capacity of the hard
disk space you made available to it. If there was really 3 Gb available to
fdisk or cfdisk for formatting, this is surprising ("astounding" is perhaps
a better word), which makes me guess that you've left out important details.
