thanks to you all, i've been able to set up my ppp and connect to my isp. (
btw, i use RHL 6.0, kppp from kde, and lynx )
after connection, i can ping to the net. ftp is ok, too. but, everytime i
try to reach a website through my lynx, it's kind of hang, then says
"unable to connect .. ".
i can see dns data of my isp in /var/named/<myispname>. so, i think, the
connection is ( perhaps ) ok.
but, in /var/log/messages, i see messages asf :

Feb 22 19:29:41 linuxf3 modprobe: can't locate module ppp-compress-26
Feb 22 19:29:41 linuxf3 modprobe: can't locate module ppp-compress-24

Feb 22 19:29:41 linuxf3 pppd[725]: remote IP address 202.154.30.81
Feb 22 19:30:11 linuxf3 pppd[725]: CCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
how should i approach this "ppp-compress-*" problem. or, is it related with
the "CCP" message ?
i tried man modprobe, but, i didn't see any clue.
could you give some hints. many thanks
