the error message quickly disappears.
( i guess this is the reason why i lost my swap partition on my linux box
at home, forcing me to re-install a few weeks ago. )
so, thanks again that i don't have to re-install for the same stupid reason
in the future.

just out of curiousity, why should the display manager be everytime
interested in an authorization of only the ":0" x-term ( or, is it the
