Well ... you might look at your system and see how it is getting its IP
address assigned to it. 

If you are using dhcpcd, it should be running as a daemon, and there should
be an init script (/wherever_Red_Hat_puts_them/dhcpcd, probably) that starts
it during the boot/init process. Surely there will be a
/something_or_other/dhcpc directory (probably /etc/dhcpc, but I'm getting
reluctant to assume RH puts files and directories where I expect them to be)
, even if it is empty.
 
If you aren't using DHCP, grep'ing for "ifconfig" in your init-script
directory will probably turn up whatever does assign the IP address.

Or you might ask whoever installed Red Hat on your system.

Also, try "man dhcpcd-2.2.x". I just checked, and my (Debian) man page for
dhcpcd just refers me to this one and to one for dhcpcd-2.0.x ... apparently
there are some kernel dependencies here that slipped my mind.
