Does anybody know how to tell my modem not to wait for a dialtone?
My telco provides me with automatic calls transfer, and since I have two
lines, all calls to my computer phone line are automatic transferred to my
other phone.
My modem, however, detects the standard sound in my phoneline as "no dialtone".
Which string should I include when dialing?
I know this is not a linux-specific question, but my cr*p window$ will do
that without problems. I didn't find any option in kppp to "not wait for
dialtone".
Any idea? My modem is a USR 56k V90 internal (/dev/ttyS1), a _real_ modem,
that worked for months under Linux before I installed this option in my
phone line.
Thanks in advance.
