the "S" in controller name stand for "software". So this device is for a more a software driven RAID. The driver are only available for Windows. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/storage/Storlink/PERC_S100_S300/en /HTML/index.htm Unfortunaly you will not be able to use Linux in this configuration.
