Usually BIOS, iDRAC and LC updates go together, so you might want to update
LC and iDRAC as well.
However after re-reading the thread I think the issue seems to be
originating from these two statements:

This would be an iDRAC license most likely. But I can't possibly tell why
it would complain. I've never seen or heard that Dell is rejecting non-DELL
RAM. They used to complain about non-DELL harddrives. But RAM?!?! That's
news to me.
vflash (it's actually an SDcard slot) can be used as a storage space for
OS, drivers, and apparently also licenses.
