I don't know about that. I was denied technical support because I was running CentOS. I called support on a brand new server (PE2900III) to ask about the fan speed control, which seemed lacking. The support person asked what OS I was running and when I mentioned CentOS, they refused to help me any further until I installed RHEL or some other supported OS.
I think those actions speak loudly what their policy is towards CentOS. Pretty dumb if you ask me, considering the install base of CentOS is growing very fast among many businesses I deal with. b On Fri, 2009-07-17 at 08:32 +0100, John Hodrien wrote: > On Thu, 16 Jul 2009, Mike Hanby wrote: > > > Anyone know why Dell refuses to support CentOS?
