In my opinion IP over FibreChannel is, in general, not worth the effort
unless you have a cable infrastructure that requires it. Gigabit ethernet
is a fine technology to solve this kind of problem. The amount of grief
for an IP stack over FC until FC of substantially higher speeds, is likely
to guarantee an interesting time of things.
