I've been out of town at the Intel Developers Forum for awhile but I'd
like to post some notes on FC and the Interphase 5526 HBA. There are 2 drivers
available for the 5526. One developed by Interphase (I did the linux port) and
one available from UNH (University of New Hampshire) Interoperability
Labs. The UNH driver is available on the 2.2.12 release and is configured
under the networking side.

The latest release of the Interphase driver does not support IP, but the
next release will. The UNH driver does support both SCSI and IP but I do not
know if simultneous traffic is allowed. I sort of beta sited the UNH driver
(written by Vineet Abraham) but only the SCSI side. Therefore I cannot
vouch for simultaneous activity.

As to the subject of whether or not IP and SCSI are desireable on the
same interface, we have several large customers who use NT in this
mode and are fairly happy to reduce the # of HBA's in they have in the system
for high speed IO.
