i guess they had to stay focused on not to go out of business ;) Now that
they seem to have a more steady revenue stream, growing market share and a
comparable CPU design, they can start building server market share. Also,
dont assume they started this year ... plus, given that their CPU design
is similar to Intel's, they had to work around a sizable Intel patent
portfolio both via technology and via alliances.

actually, a BX board ($300) and 2x PII (2x$200) isnt all that expensive,
