Hi,
I am trying to boot a 1GB SMP Linux 2.2.16 kernel on a Supermicro
PIIIDME motherboard, but it seems to be struggling with the
IO-APICs. It has requested me to send you an email, so here is the
output of dmesg. For reference, the built-in Ethernet (i82559) does
not seem to work / get enabled, because the LED on the back of the
box only lights up (amber) when the machine that it is connected to
is powered up. There also seem to be a few unrecognised PCI devices,
and so I have also attached the output of the PCI bus. In the
meantime, I guess I'll have to use a UP kernel to get the machine
networked(?).
