I recommend the NS-8 simply from a cost standpoint.  I actually use the
Tecmar NS-20 drives here for our departmental backups.  We use the
NS-8's for desktop operations and testing.  We just ran some tests on
the latest Tecmar NS-20 firmware and are averaging over 3M/sec writing
to the drive and verifying at over 4M/sec (using BRU, of course).

The purchase decision should be based upon budget and capacity needs.

And, if money is no object, the Tecmar or HP DDS-3 DAT drives definitely
get my vote as favorite technology.
