You cannot use the "stock" 2.0.36-3; you have to recompile it without
ftape support; then, install ftape 4.03 pre-latest. Or, upgrade to 2.2.4
from rawhide.redhat.com or its mirrors; it has ftape (zftape) included in
the pre-compiled kernel which supports my T3000 attached to /dev/fd0.
Just insmod zftape.o and you're set to mt -f /dev/(n)ftape command.
