Martin,

Thanks, I told them to leave the computer
unplugged overnight, it recognized one of the
recent backup tapes, and I've done a restore from
it.  There's definitely something wrong with the
drive, however, because it will only recognize the
first tape you put in after a power on.

I think I'll recommend that they buy an SCSI DAT
drive, now that they don't have to get a backwards
compatible drive.
