Hi, we've got a Sony SDT-9000 DDS-3 drive here, and as we tested it under
debian linux (hi-end sw: amanda backup) it soon started to chew the tapes.
It's enough to put the tape in, read something from it (e.g. 'amcheck
DailySet', which just reads the label) and then, when everything's done
and stopped, press eject or do 'mt eject' - the tape is still stuck inside
when the cassette is ejected (80% chance).
While we asked for repair, I'd like to know if you encoutered anything
similar; and if there could be something wrong with linux drivers,
are we doing something wrong, or it's solely the drive's fault.
