Well, I myself stumbled over several problems related to the restore module and
related to the backup module in unattended mode: It is essential for me to have
a backup program run by crond - and up to now I haven't been able to get taper to
perform daily backups in unattended mode for more than half a week, although there
has been pretty much space left on the device. And as far as the restore is concerned:
Problems also occured when I wanted to restore not all of the saved files, but only
some
of them.
My recommendation: Please do your own extensive testing, because our both environments
are
certainly rather different. Maybe you yourself won't ever face any problem.
Bye, Juergen.
