More fuel to add to the fire:
When I do an erase ( mt -f /dev/nqft0 erase ) I get the following:
/dev/nqft0: Input/output error
Once I get the error my prompt comes back, but the drive light won't go
off. It seems like the only way I can get it to go off is to do a rewind
( mt -f /dev/nqft0 rewind ).
As far as I can see so far, everything with this drive works as long as it
does not require actually writing to the tape.
Does anyone have any recommendations as to what is going wrong and/or how
to fix it???
Thank you!
