I'm trying to compile ftape on Caldera OpenLinux (2.2.10). My tape
drive is an HP/Colorado IDE 5GB Travan.

I went to http://www.LinuxTapeCert.com/ and clicked on TechHelp. It
says "For Normal Floppy Tape drives on the builtin floppy controller
(FDC), no changes [to MCONFIG] are required." Then the TechHelp says
just do a "make". I do that and I get:

[lots of other stuff omitted]
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/src/linux/.config', needed by
`.ftape-setup.d'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/home/allen/dl/ftape/ftape-4.x-1999_09_11/ftape/setup'
make[1]: *** [modules] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/allen/dl/ftape/ftape-4.x-1999_09_11/ftape'
make: *** [all] Error

What now? Thanks.
