I posted yesterday with the subject "Backpack USB Adapter" without realizing this thread was dealing with that device.
I downloaded Ken Hahn's code from April but can't figure out what to do with it. I've never come accross a Makefile.dat befor but it looks like that may not be the way to go. I am not a developer but I would be interested in helping in any way I can with the development the Backpack USB driver. I am an experienced Linux user and have a lot of experience building from source and applying patches. I have both notebook and desktop PCs that I can use for testing. I also have 6 of the Micro-Solutions BackPack CD-ReWriters (I'm an IT manager for an engineering firm in SF), two of which are connected to Linux PCs. Just let me know if I can do anything. And if someone can tell me what to do with the Makefile.dat I would like to play with that.
