Philips UDA1325 and friends support external EEPROM, and -everything-
about the audio device is there (unless you are one of 3 lucky OEMs that
got their configs mask-programmed on the chip itself).

There is no good utility to configure the audio descriptors, and they
are QUITE complicated. I had to write my own helper code to compile
audio descriptors from my own description language - because the
Philips' own tool (unicodes) was abandoned mid-design and never fully
worked.
