This is interesting...
The easiest way to see this is that partition tables aren't properly read.
But, you can also see this by using dd to read the media -- you'll get
data, but it's not what's on the media.
My test configuration is an AMD K6-II 400MHz with on-board UHCI and an
add-on OHCI/EHCI card. 512MBytes of memory. What do you use?
