Can you find any significant differences (such as reordering > the statements) between the 2.6.5 and 2.6.6 versions of the uhci_reset() > routine? I will look into it, but... Thats why I fetched a raw 2.6.5 kernel tree to try to build, but then again Fedora core 2 is also on 2.6.5, but with Redhat patches. And I also don't know if Knoppix was a std tree either. I'm currently investigating whether building kernel for SMP vrs uni-processor makes a difference. Knoppix is SMP, but Fedora is ???. I know its not a 2.6.5 vrs 2.6.6 issue, cause the Fedora 2.6.5 environment is broken. But why is the Fedora 2.6.5 broken, but the Knoppix 2.6.5 OK? (rhetorical question). So I haven't yet been able to compare apples and apples, or at least be able to re-create a working environment from source. I think its back to putting in the debug statements to see where it does get. BTW. I did boot to single user mode, so a whole bunch of stuff wasn't loaded or running (ie shared interrupts, etc.), and it still failed. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Sleepycat Software Learn developer strategies Cisco, Motorola, Ericsson & Lucent use to deliver higher performing products faster, at low TCO. http://www.sleepycat.com/telcomwpreg.php?From=osdnemail3 _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-devel
