Hi again
slowly moving closer. I really hope that this is about the last thing I
have to fix before everything works. Maybe that is just wishful
thinking.
I did a quick check and decided to back to g_ether (CDC), after I had
made the fixes to get the device working for the g_zero tests. CDC no
longer works, which probably explains my latest RNDIS problems. However
looking at the USB analyzer, hardly anything has changed. An old
working CDC session and a new CDC session differ in the USB analyzer
like so for endpoint 0:
bcdDevice changed
bConfigurationValue changed from 3 to 1
bmAttributes changed from none to self-powered
set-configuration changed from 3 to 1
Get Descriptor string index 3 changed (mac addr)
Get Descriptor string index 1 changed (I added "_udc" to the end)
Then I set up on the host the IP, and I now get the following error
~ # modprobe CDCEther
Using /lib/modules/2.4.25-vrs2/kernel/drivers/usb/CDCEther.o
usb.c: registered new driver CDCEther
CDCEther.c: eth1: Linux 2.4.25-vrs2/n9604_udc Ethernet Gadget
~ #
~ # ifconfig eth1 192.168.2.3
CDCEther.c: CDCEther_open failed intr_urb -22
where as before I didn't and I'd having a working network.
I don't enough about the Linux USB implementation to track this down
either. The only thing that stands out is the change in
bConfigurationValue.
