It does solve the problem and out of order writes are not happening.
You haven't followed, I see.

Both solutions are correct, although the 2.6 is superior, at least
on grounds of cleanliness. It's just not feasible in 2.4.

I'm re-sending the post_helper to Marcelo and I am including you
on cc: so you can voice your objections or perhaps even try it out
before that. But I don't think it will change anything, simply because
the post_helper had a good run in Fedora, with gradual improvement.
