This is a (IMHO) very well working USB 1.1 4-slot card-reader (Mass-storage compliant).
The only known problem with this is that is doesn't react to a bulk-reset (which could get 2.4 SCSI to hang, normally after 20-60 secs).

What is this ? Do you have a USB 2.0 harddrive ? Pease post /proc/scsi/scsi and /proc/scsi/usb-storage/*
