do you speak of CONFIG_USB_AUDIO?
CONFIG_USB_AUDIO:
Say Y here if you want to connect USB audio equipment such as
speakers to your computer's USB port.
To compile this driver as a module, choose M here: the
module will be called audio.
I think it's not meant for my needs. I doesn't say it's for external USB soundcards.
Sorry in case I got you wrong.
