I have had success using the "option" usb serial driver. I've added the vendor/product for the KPC650 (0c88/17da). This has produced positive results for large binary downloads that the rate for 600-800 kbs. However I suspect that the problem with the card is not pppd related as I often get the USB disconnects even when not connected. I don't have the specific debug information available at the moment but here is what I recall "generic_read_bulk_callback - nonzero read bulk status received: -110". Then the card isn't available for pppd or anything. I usually eject it and re-insert and it works again. The timing of the disconnects vary from a few minutes to several hours. Howard
