Hi Ramkrishna,
For me the following steps worked
1) open camera configuration in gphoto 0.4.3
2) choose dc 3400 as the target camera
3) in the interface section choose usb and specify
/dev/usb/dc2xx as the device
4) change the permission of /dev/usb/dc2xx to have
user access
I am using RedHat 7.1 with 2.4.2 kernel
