> What kind of motherboard is this?
>From what I can determine from a thorough
investigation of a smattering of sources, the
following has surfaced:
It is probably a VP3 VIA motherboard (with an AMD K6-2
3DNow 333MHz processor) manufactured 05/08/1998 (but
without USB support, but with 100MHz AGP-PCI support).
It's serial #, if it is of any use to you, is:
05/08/1998-VP3-586B-W877-2A5LECS9C-00.
Just in case it is also useful to know: my BIOS is an
Award Modular v4.51PG; my USB PCI card is a Nisis Eu2
(it is PnP) with PCI interface version 2.2, 2 A-type
USB ports version 1.1, and OHCI revision 1.0; my modem
is an Alcatel SpeedTouch USB ADSL Modem, and its
software is also made by Alcatel (I have been told by
the author that my software is not the problem from as
far as he can see).
It would be a great relief to find an answer as to why
my USB modules are incapable of giving this modem an
interrupt address. I have noticed that there were
other people with similar problems and I was wondering
if there was a solution already.
