Well he (Brad Hards) used linux-2.4.21-ac1 (see
http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg07232.html).
Since I use a stable 2.4.21 kernel I thought it should work. However it
might fail since I am not quite sure which usb modules should be loaded.
Brad reported a "EHCI failure and a UHCI success". When I look at my system I
am unsure what I am actually using since there are to many hci's. lsmod says:

usb-storage 65312 0
usb-uhci 22224 0 (unused)
usbcore 58668 1 [usb-storage usb-uhci ehci-hcd]
scsi_mod 97044 7 [osst sd_mod usb-storage st sr_mod sg
ide-scsi]

Now is this system using ehci driver (which did not work for Brad) or the
working uhci driver? I cannot distinguish this in this case.....

Thanks for help
Rainer
