But if you blacklist it, it won't get used at all. CDCEther *is* used by the Sharp Zaurus connection (isn't it?). The problem it has seems to be with re-initialization.... If I rmmod CDCEther, acm, & usbnet and then re-insert it...it works. So something is not being re-initialized properly if the drivers remain in memory. (At least on my system....)

If you are using the hotplug program, you can add a line to
/etc/hotplug/blacklist containing the word CDCEther then when you
drop the zaurus in the cradle, hotplug won't insmod CDCEther, and
will therefore insmod usbnet.
