CDCEther is not used by the Z. CDCEther is mainly used for usb - -> ethernet products. The Z uses the usbnet (formerly called usbdnet) because it is another computer, instead of just a network interface. I don't remember where this is documented, but I will look for it and get back to you on it. I have CDCEther blacklistted, and it works fine.
