Thanks for the reply.  This being the case, and assuming that my bios is
correct when it reports that I have high speed usb2 hub(s), what does the
following message mean?
       usb 3-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2
       usb 3-2: not running at top speed; connect to a high speed hub
       usb 3-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Is the third line a new sentence?  Would it help to choose a another
configuration?  If so, how do I do that?
