A friend of mine who used to work in acquisitions at the
Palmerston North public library asked me about some distros
a few years ago. She's now on maternity leave and I don't
know if her replacement is as keen. I can't understand why
a library would turn down something free to put on their shelves.

Unless they're worried about the legal ramifications,
i.e. you can't put Win-XP install disks on a library
shelf.
They need to be made aware of the General Public License.
