With regard to the line mentioned in this months meeting report:
(advertising and/or perhaps donations of linux distributions to public 
libraries (such as the Wellington LUG appear to be doing at the moment))

        I have looked back through the wallylug list archive.  And it seems that 
they acquired  50 copies of the "Download Edition" (Single CD Edition) of 
Mandrake Linux version 8.0.    Of which they recently donated to various 
libraries around the Wellington area.  Asking the libraries  to add them to 
their catalogue for lending.

        I suspect that libraries would have accepted these very easily compared to 
"burned" copies as we/I had assumed.
