Hi All

I have a compaq armada 1130 laptop (pent 120 w/48Mb RAM) which had a
whoopsie with the HDD.

To cut the long story short, I need to reinstall it. It has a floppy drive
only. I have given up trying to get network support running in dos for the
PCMCIA card (3Com Etherlink III).

I'm thinking I could try using something like Toms Root Boot Linux to kick
it over, then connect to my win PC using Samba and copy the install stuff
over to the laptop HDD and run it from there.

Please can anyone tell me how to kick the PCMCIA card into life and whether
Tom's has the right stuff to smb to my winpc and copy stuff over...?

Thanks lots
Steve
